The Internet appears as a result of the increased interconnections of computers from the university centers in US, being initially destined to information exchange for scientific purposes. The success was enormous, to this contributing mainly the ease with which the needed information could be found from almost any field of interest. Thus, the idea was developed from university computers network to a network that started to involve more and more public and private sites. The way towards a global communication was opening, through e-mail, web and other applications of the Internet, substituting the old communication systems, facilitating a rapid development of the firms open to information. Now, it is estimated that the Internet would have around 350 million users, over 10 billion pages, growing at an amazing rate. Gradually, the old university network has become the way of promoting the novelties in any way of transmitting mankind knowledge. Through the continuously evolving technologies (WAP, - the link between mobile phones and Internet) one could say that the Internet's future is insured. We do not limit ourselves to simple strategic audit recommendations, but propose sound actions that in time will rise the value of the company and will ease up the competition position on the Internet.
